Pastor’s Bio:
As a native of Pacifica, CA, Rev. Domonic R. Hampton has been blessed with both the burning of the Word and the learning of the Word. He is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a B.A. in Psychology. He also received a B.A. in Biblical Studies, and a Masters Degree in Theological Studies from Faith Evangelical Seminary in Tacoma, WA.
He has been blessed to preach and serve at the church in which he was baptized (age 8), licensed to preach (2004), and ordained (2011). Rev. Hampton served the Emanuel Pearlgate Baptist Church in San Francisco, CA as Associate Minister. Rev. Hampton was called to be the Youth Director in 2009 and worked to build the youth and young adults through the Word of God. After faithfully serving at Emanuel Pearlgate, Rev.Hampton was called to become the Interim Pastor of the New Ark Baptist Church of Richmond CA in August of 2011 and God elevated him to become Pastor/Teacher of New Ark in December of 2011. Through his ministry in Richmond, many lives were touched and changed and souls were saved. After serving for three years, the Lord called Rev. Hampton back to Emanuel Pearlgate to serve under the leadership of his father, Rev. Wade Hampton Sr., and continued to strive to bring the ministry of service and outreach to the city of San Francisco. Upon the retirement of Pastor Hampton Sr., Rev. Hampton was called to become the 4th pastor in Emanuel’s history and was installed in May of 2019.
Rev. Hampton has taught and preached at revivals, conventions, and seminars throughout the state of California and abroad. He has served as the 1st Vice President for the Young Adults Auxiliary of the California State Baptist Convention and is becoming one of the brightest young leaders in the religious community as a teacher, a preacher, and a mentor.
His mission is to teach and preach the Gospel wherever he goes, leading the lost to Christ, and to edify the people of God into a greater level of commitment, discipleship, and a loving relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ by showing the world that the love of Christ is still alive and thriving through the work and service of His people. He is happily married to the lovely and gifted Amyra (Mimi) Hampton and they have been blessed with two beautiful sons, Domonic Joshua (DJ) and Dylan.
